Confused by Relativity?

Have you read about Einstein's theory before - or even studied it in school - but still find it mysterious, or hard to pin down?

A different approach might help.

In this unique popular-level introduction to Einstein's Theory of Relativity, the author focuses closely on the underlying physical origins of the theory's surprising effects. The goal throughout is to demystify the predictions of the theory and make clear exactly how they arise from the fields and particles which underly all matter.

About the Author
William Nelson received his B.S. in Mathematics from Yale University in 1989, and his Ph.D. in physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1994. At Santa Barbara he carried out research in black holes and the theory then known as String Theory. After making the difficult decision to leave theoretical physics, he worked in the software industry for several years, and currently is a researcher in computational genomics at the University of Arizona.
